This morning, we’ll check out of our hotel in Dubrovnik and head to the airport for our flight to Thessaloniki, the vibrant cultural hub of northern Greece! Upon arrival, you’ll be immediately immersed in the city's energy as we begin our adventure with a guided walking tour through its lively streets.

Along the way, we’ll visit the captivating Archaeological Museum, where the rich history of Thessaloniki unfolds before you. After the tour, enjoy free time to explore the city’s unique blend of ancient monuments and modern flair—perfect for shopping, wandering through local markets, or relaxing in cozy cafés. As the day winds down, we’ll gather for a delightful group dinner, indulging in the exceptional flavors of Thessaloniki, and reflecting on the exciting experiences of the day.

A Glorious Journey Through Ancient Macedonia

Prepare to be awestruck by the rich history of the ancient Kingdom of Macedonia. Your first stop is Pella, the birthplace of Alexander the Great, where you’ll stand in the very place where the legendary conqueror began his epic journey. Explore the monumental palatial complex and marvel at the intricate mosaics that adorned royal mansions.

Next, venture to Vergina, home to the Museum of the Royal Tombs of Aigai, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Here, uncover treasures from the ancient royal tomb of King Philip II, Alexander’s father, including stunning gold artifacts that will take your breath away.

After soaking in the beauty of the cave, you'll head back to shore for a unique cooking class where you'll learn to prepare traditional Corfiot dishes! Upon arrival, check in to your Athens hotel, and get ready for a special dinner at a rooftop restaurant, where you can enjoy a delicious meal while gazing at the iconic Acropolis illuminated against the night sky. The perfect way to begin your exploration of Greece’s vibrant capital!
